The 100% Donation Policy signifies that the entirety of your contributions is channeled directly into the hands of the underprivileged through our various charitable initiatives. Your financial support is treated with the highest regard, and its utilization is judiciously overseen in accordance with the counsel of our esteemed scholars. Rest assured, under this policy, your donations are dedicated solely to those in dire need and are not allocated to defray any operational expenses.

To sustain our operational infrastructure, the financial requisites are met through separate donations expressly designated for covering administrative costs. These contributions are made by individuals who understand the significance of our work and endorse the principles underpinning our 100% Donation Policy. These specific donations serve to underwrite the typical essential overheads, ensuring the continued functioning of our organization.

In the event of a surplus in any particular initiative, it is our practice to transfer such excess funds to other ongoing projects. This proactive measure ensures that every financial resource is optimally utilized to address the multifaceted needs within our purview.

Third Pillar ensures transparency and accountability to ensure that donations are used as intended and benefit the intended beneficiaries.

1. Transparency in Allocation: Donors have the right to know how their contributions are being allocated. Third Pillar will provide periodic updates and reports on the allocation and utilization of funds for specific projects or countries.  Examples of updates include but not limited to Annual Reports, presentations, social media communications, and email updates.

 2. Accountability Measures: Third Pillar will implement strict checks and balances to ensure that donations earmarked for specific projects or countries are used according to the donors’ intentions.  Third Pillar ensures accountability  through compliance with CRA Regulations, internal controls, and regular board meetings.

 3. Redirecting Unused Funds: In the event that funds earmarked for specific projects or countries are not eligible for various reasons, such as changes in legislations or unforeseen circumstances,  Third Pillar will utilize funds towards areas that are most needed within the same cause or region. Excess donations made to administration costs will be redirected to humanitarian projects or causes based on necessity.  This will ensure that the original intent of the donation is honored, while also maximizing the impact of the contribution.

 4. Donor Communication: Third Pillar will maintain open lines of communication with donors, providing them with timely and accurate information regarding the allocation and impact of their donations. Donors will be informed of any changes in the allocation of their contributions and the reasons behind such changes.

 5. Commitment to Efficient Relief Work Oversight: For effective oversight of their relief and humanitarian efforts, Third Pillar is dedicated to ensuring transparency and accountability for all donations. In cases where Third Pillar cannot directly manage projects or relief work due to factors like geographical distance, safety issues, or legal constraints, they will collaborate with a local on-the-ground partner organization that has been thoroughly vetted for authenticity.
